We are pleased to announce that New Hope Center KC has been chosen as a recipient of a Nonprofit Catalyst Grant by United Way of Kansas City.

With support from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, United Way of Greater Kansas City established the Nonprofit Catalyst Fund in February to advance small nonprofit organizations that are led by or primarily serve Black, Latino, and other people of color in the community.  Recipients are 501(c)(3) public charities supporting education, human services, entrepreneurship, workforce skill building, economic mobility, and community development.

Mission

To walk alongside refugees and equip them with the tools and support they need to succeed in building lives full of hope, belonging, and self-sufficiency in their new home. To provide practical educational programs and mentorship that sharpen, guide, and empower migrants both young and old to achieve their own versions of the American dream.

Vision

A world in which "refugee" defines a legal status and not an individual—a world in which refugees are seen, their voices are heard, and their stories are valued.
